Kendall's Case

Kendall Francis
Kendall Francis

Kendall Francis says she was sexually assaulted by an LSU football player on October 18, 2025, after going to a campus dorm to visit him. LSU Police later took her to a hospital, where she says she spent roughly seven hours and underwent a sexual-assault examination.

Francis filed a formal Title IX complaint in January 2026. Public reporting from internal LSU documents later showed that LSU found the student-athlete responsible for sexual assault and forcible rape. The responsibility finding remained in place after appeal, while the original two-semester suspension was reduced to four semesters of disciplinary probation without restrictions.

Francis publicly told her story in September 2026. She has described severe anxiety, depression, weight loss, therapy, academic consequences, and moving her coursework online because she feared encountering the player on campus.

What Happened After the Title IX Case

The finding remained in place while the sanction changed

LSU's appeal process upheld the responsibility finding but reduced the sanction. Francis later made an official police report on September 21, 2026. East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore confirmed the following day that the matter had been brought to his office for review.

The criminal investigation is separate from LSU's administrative Title IX process. No arrest, indictment, or criminal charge had been publicly announced in the reporting located for this archive through October 7, 2026.
